Kartik Aaryan’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has proven to be a massive box office success, surpassing the action-packed Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn and an ensemble cast. While both films released on November 1, 2024, it’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 that has raced ahead, collecting an impressive Rs 249.10 crore domestically, compared to Singham Again’s Rs 241.50 crore.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had a stellar opening week, earning Rs 158.25 crore, followed by Rs 58 crore in its second week. The film continued to perform well in its third and fourth weeks, earning Rs 23.3 crore and maintaining steady collections over the weekend. On its fourth Friday, it earned Rs 1.4 crore, followed by Rs 2.7 crore on Saturday and Rs 3.25 crore on Sunday, as per Sacnilk reports.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film sees Kartik Aaryan reprising his role as Rooh Baba, joined by new cast members Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit. Vidya Balan also made a special appearance in the franchise’s third instalment. Backed by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the film is set to cross the Rs 250 crore mark, solidifying its blockbuster status.
Singham Again, helmed by Rohit Shetty, despite its star-studded cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff, has fallen slightly behind.
The action-drama collected Rs 173 crore in its first week, followed by Rs 47.5 crore and Rs 15.65 crore in the second and third weeks, respectively.
As Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continues its theatrical dominance, the film will soon debut on Netflix, while Singham Again is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on December 27, 2024. Fans are eagerly awaiting the films’ OTT releases to relive their favorite moments.
