Amaran, a Tamil movie starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, has made ₹263 crore globally, making it a huge success. Its Netflix release has been delayed because of its outstanding box office performance.
Amaran is a 2024 Tamil-language biographical action war movie that was produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India under the direction of Rajkumar Periasamy. Alongside Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, and Rahul Bose, Sivakarthikeyan plays Major Mukund Varadarajan in the movie.
It’s an adaption of Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book series India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, which includes a section about Mukund. The movie centers on Mukund’s wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese, who recounts the Major’s life while traveling to New Delhi to accept the Ashoka Chakra, which was given to Mukund after his death.
