Both got married in 1995
AR Rahman and Saira got married in 1995 and the couple has three children – Khatija, Rahima, and Amin. Rahman once said that his marriage was arranged by his mother.

In an interview, Rahman had said, ‘To be honest, I did not have time to find a wife, but I realized that this was the right time to get married. I was 29 years old, so I told my mother, find a bride for me.’
